1.                 How do I become a member of the HCBA Trial and Litigation Section?

 

Answer: It is easy, you can simply call the HCBA headquarters at (813) 221-7777 to register and pay the annual dues of $25.00, and you are now a member of the Section.

 

2.                 Does the HCBA Trial Lawyers’ Section hold meetings? If so, where and when?

 

Answer: Yes, the Section holds “quarterly” lunch meetings, and you can visit the HCBA website at www.hillsbar.com, under Trial and Litigation Section – “Upcoming Events and Meetings” – to find out when and where the next lunch meeting will be held.  Quarterly lunches are held at the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center. 

 

3.                 How do I nominate a HCBA member for one of the Section’s annual awards?

 

Answer: You can nominate any current HCBA member for one of the Section’s annual awards by submitting your nomination to anyone of the Officers and Board Members. Please visit the HCBA website at www.hillsbar.com, under Trial and Litigation Section – “Officers and Board Members” – for the names and contact information for the Section’s officers and board members. Also see the website, under Trial Lawyers’ Section – “Trial & Litigation Section Awards” – for a listing of the annual awards.

 

4.                 Does the HCBA Trial & Litigation Section conduct CLE courses to assist members?  If so, can I receive CLE credit with the Florida Bar?

 

Answer: Yes to both. The Section puts on CLE courses regularly for members.
