Welcome to the HCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service
The HCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service is dedicated to helping you find a qualified attorney to handle your case. Our program is certified by the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association, and our attorneys must be certified to ensure you receive the best possible service.
Our attorneys provide a 30-minute consultation for a reduced rate of $50, which is collected by Visa or Master Card or can be paid in cash or with a money order at our office. The consultation fee is waived for the following types of cases: personal injury or medical malpractice, labor or employment, social security and social security disability, workers’ compensation, and bankruptcy and foreclosure.

Free Legal Services
The HCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service coordinates two free legal advice programs:
On the first Thursday of every month, FOX 13 hosts a group of attorneys who donate their time to serve in a phone bank at the TV station. The public is encouraged to call and receive free legal advice. Look for this on FOX 13 on the first Thursday of every month at 7 a.m.
Periodically, our attorneys visit local libraries as part of the Ask-A-Lawyer Library Series. This program offers free legal advice and useful information to the public. Visits are scheduled as space is available. Please call the Lawyer Referral & Information Service at (813) 221-7780 for information on upcoming Ask-A-Lawyer Library Series dates.
Bay Area Legal Services also offers free legal aid to low-income clients. For more information, click here.
