SUPPORTING EQUAL EQUAL ACCESS TO JUSTICE
Through the outstanding community of lawyers within the HCBA, together with those lawyers serving our greater Tampa Bay region, the Military & Veterans Affairs Committee is committed to supporting equal access to justice and the overall advancement of the rule of law.
MVAC’s mission is to develop (i) self-sustaining initiatives and outreach programs to provide legal services and assistance for qualifying veterans; (ii) focused and relevant education for veterans along with CLE education for HCBA members; and (iii) meaningful mentorship for veterans in partnership with Hillsborough County’s Veterans Treatment Court and other local Veterans Service Providers.
In support of its mission, one of the MVAC’s goals and objectives is to establish a broad-based list of attorneys dedicated to providing professional legal services to those men and women in uniform, both veterans and active-duty personnel, who have honorably served or are serving our country and who now find themselves in need of legal assistance. As identified in the MVAC Veterans Legal Assistance Registry, the legal subject categories where support may be available include:
(ii) Commercial and General Civil Litigation
