Technology Updates from the 13th Judicial Circuit and Hillsborough County Clerk of the Court & Comptroller

1.0 CLE credits including 1.0 Technology

Objective:

The Clerk and the 13th Judicial staff will present updates various technologies in use by the legal community. This will include JAWS, HOVER, access to Official Records, use of call center and website access. The team will answer questions from the attendees and also look for suggestions for improvements.

Speakers:

Doug Bakke has worked for the Hillsborough County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller for over 25 years. He currently serves as the Chief Deputy of Court Operations overseeing almost 400 Clerk employees. Doug has worked extensively on deploying new technology used today at the Clerk’s Office.

Christina Blakeslee is the Chief Technology Officer for the 13th Judicial Circuit for the last 5 years. She previously worked in technology at the Florida Supreme Court where she managed many statewide technology initiatives. Currently, she is chair of the Florida Courts Technology Standards committee.

Tonya Harbuck is the Information Technology Project Manager for the 13th Judicial Circuit for the last 10 years. She has managed all of the technology requests for JAWS in conjunction with the court’s Chief Technology Officer.
