HCBA Announces 2019 Outstanding Lawyer and Jurist Awards at Membership Luncheon

The Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) and its Young Lawyers Division (YLD) recently honored four outstanding members with annual awards. The awards were presented at the HCBA's Diversity Membership Luncheon on Jan. 8, 2020 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown. Those honored at the luncheon:
--Amy Farrior of Buell & Elligett -- winner of the 2019 HCBA Outstanding Lawyer Award
This award recognizes an attorney who has made a significant difference in the practice of law and the community because of his or her personal and professional ethics and conduct.
--Judge Caroline Tesche Arkin of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit -- winner of the 2019 Robert W. Patton Outstanding Jurist Award
This award, presented by the HCBA YLD, recognizes an outstanding jurist who has an excellent reputation for sound judicial decisions, demonstrates concern or willingness to assist young lawyers, and shows respect for their abilities.
--Donald Greiwe of de la Parte & Gilbert -- winner of the 2019 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award
This award, also presented by the YLD, recognizes an private attorney who has demonstrated exemplary performance in the areas of professionalism and in the practice of law in his or her field.
--Nicole Del Rio of Bay Area Legal Services -- winner of the 2019 Outstanding Government/Non-Profit Lawyer Award
This award, also presented by the YLD, recognizes an outstanding record of service by a government, public sector, or non-profit attorney who has aspired to achieve the highest standard of professional conduct, competence, and preeminent public service.
