About the Hillsborough County Bar Association

The Hillsborough County Bar Association is proud to be one of the largest voluntary bar associations in Florida with a membership close to 4,000 attorneys, judges and legal professionals. HCBA is a vibrant, diverse organization that has earned national recognition for its outstanding programs and events. Our mission is to inspire and promote respect for the law and the justice system through service to the legal profession and the community.

HCBA affords members numerous ways to further their legal careers, stay connected to the local legal community, and to give back through various community service programs. Throughout the year, the HCBA offers quality continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, premier membership luncheons and special events, and specific practice area education in conjunction with our more than 30 sections and committees.

As a service to the community, the HCBA's Lawyer Referral & Information Service connects members of the public with qualified local attorneys who can help them resolve their legal problems. Members also enjoy reading and writing articles for HCBA’s award-winning Lawyer magazine, which is published six times a year.
The HCBA is located at the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center in downtown Tampa. With its elegant board rooms, conference rooms, a large ballroom, and a lounge, the law center offers a convenient meeting place for our members and is available for private rentals for mediations, conferences, receptions and other events.
